A Typical Day

You wake up and shower, then have a breakfast of freshly baked French bread and the freshest fruit you ever had with locally grown Kenkeliba tea.

Two hours of dance class (on Fotoba, class is on the beach, at a beautiful secluded cove), then it’s time for a delicious lunch of fresh fish and yucca sauce.

Spend the early afternoon getting to know new friends, strolling the streets, learning Susu, trying your hand at traditional cooking or just chilling out.

Late afternoon enjoy drum class, then get ready to dance again.

Time to freshen up, then eat a delicious dinner of rice and sauce with fresh fish.

In the evening check out a sabar, catch a contemporary singer at a nearby club, or create an impromptu party, complete with music and singing, at the house.

Variations to the day might include visits to ballet rehearsals, shopping at the market, an excursion downtown, or lazing on the beach.
